EXECCONNECT EVENTS AND PROGRAMS

Breakfast and Luncheon Speaker Series

Participants in the exeCConnect - top regional business leaders - receive invitations to a variety of exeCConnect events, including periodic breakfasts and luncheons. 

A 2009 Charlotte executive roundtable led by tw telecom senior vice president Mike Rouleau explored the topic of "How to Position Your Company for Success Once the Markets Turn." The invitation-only event, which was hosted at Peak 10's corporate headquarters, was attended by executives from regional professional services and technology companies.

A spring luncheon featured Kent Hudson, CEO and Founder of SchoolDude. Cary-based SchoolDude is the nation's leading provider of on-demand operations management solutions for schools, colleges and universities. During his presentation, Hudson provided insights on “How to Scale a Business During Competitive Times.”

Upon arrival, attendees network and spend time with their executive peers and are then seated for a roundtable breakfast or luncheon.  This is followed by a presentation and discussion led by a guest speaker.

  
One of the best-attended luncheons featured Scott Guilfoyle, Chief Information Officer of Lending Tree, LLC. His presentation focused on the topic of “Success Breeds Need: Challenges, Opportunities and Visions for Building a National Leader.”

“It’s refreshing to have an executive from another market come in, spend time and share their experiences with our local executives,” said Greg Rollet, senior vice president, north region of Peak 10. “Gaining business perspectives from one another is what the exeCConnect is all about.”


Evening Executive Receptions

In addition to breakfast and luncheon events, the exeCConnect hosts larger evening gatherings. Hor'dourves and refreshments are provided andattendees have the opportunity to share business strategies, and discuss industry news and trends in a relaxed peer environment. 


A summer 2010 Charlotte event hosted at Peak 10's corporate headquarters was attended by more than 180 regional business and thought leaders. This executive gathering was held with support from the North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA), Business Innovation Growth (big) and sponsors including Agility Recovery Solutions, AirTight, Apex Systems, CONNECTED! Technologies, EMC, Geist, Level 3 Communications, On-Line Computer Products, Rittal, StillSecure, tw telecom and Varrow.


At a 2009 Charlotte event, Peak 10 CEO David Jones and Mayor Pat McCrory spoke with the more than 100 executives in attendance about how the Charlotte market is well-positioned for economic recovery. The invitation-only event was supported by the North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA), the Charlotte Chamber, Business Innovation Growth (big), Peak 10, Cisco and HP, as well as other local companies.

 

 

 

The exeCConnect gatherings attract leading companies from the Charlotte-Raleigh-Richmond corridor. Attendance at a benchmark 2007 gathering inRaleigh included SAS, Cisco Systems, Engineous Software, House-Autry Mills, Investors Title Company, MDeverywhere, Misys Healthcare Systems, Motricity, Peopleclick, SchoolDude, SciQuest Inc., Square 1 Bank and Variety Wholesalers.



At a fall 2006 Raleigh gathering, special guest Dr. Jim Goodnight, CEO ofSAS,was honored with a lifetimeachievement award for his commitment to education, the local community, advancing the use of technology, and ethical leadership.
